PALLY HAS GOTTEN HER TRAVELING PAPERS AND WILL BE GOING TO LIVE IN NEW JERSEY. PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT HER OTHER KIN FOLK
Howdy there, my name is Polly. I was named after my great aunt and so I am told she was quite the girl. After she turned of age she sash shayed on down the lane and ending up in Richmond, Virginia and became a lady of the night. Now that is how the story was told to me and my mammy always told me she wanted to change my name so as I would not have to bear the evils of that wayward old girl. Anyways I always liked that name.
I just got back from the chicken farm. Now don't go get any ideas. I didn't say chicken ranch, I said farm. The ranch is where my Aunt Pally might be going and the farm is where we go and get our eggs. Lordy Me.
I really got noticed in my new dress today. Let me tell you all about it. It is made from kelly green plaid homespun at the bottom and a gold flower print at the top. My kerchief and apron are made from a rust cotton material.
I have painted eyes, stitched nose, mouth and eye bags and my lips have been painted a deep rusted rued. I have brown sheeps wool for my hair.
In my arms I am holding a sack that has been distsressed from muslin with a antique replica feed sack logo that reads Bay Creek Farms Fresh Grade Eggs. Behind my sack is a sprig of grapevine. Also hanging from my formed hands is a antique replica scoop and in my apron pocket are sprigs of Sweet Annie.
How I would love to come and visit you.
